Kind of surprised there isn't a thread on this game yet, anyway, just needed a place to show this:

So this is out now, as of yesterday. Only been playing singleplayer so far, but it is rather awesome. They seem to have gone out of their way to take everything COD does and say "we can do it better", including the opening sequence which is a massive dig on cod5.

Hoping to try multiplayer later today.

I'm not a fan of these sort of shooters at all, but I did play the demo on the 360 and it seemed kind of fun. Might end up getting this if I ever see it on sale.

The specs seem kind of high, though. Quad-core recommended, really? How well does it seem to run?

It can be very choppy if run on dx11 at even recommended settings. I run it on dx9 by editing the cnfg file. Your best bet is to find a way to test it before buying, I think they are releasing a demo eventually. The game really does have massive system reqs.

I hope they do. I'd like to try it the "legitimate" way. I'm kind of over buying PC games blind if I have any doubt about my ability to run them at decent FPS and settings.

I went ahead and picked it up. Runs pretty damn well on my PC. AA is about the only thing I can't turn on, but that's par for course with my system.

I'm enjoying the multiplayer so far. The single player is not impressing me, however.

I'm trying to stick with Medic for now, as that's the class I'd like to play, but the LMG you start with has an insane reload time. I'm in a habit of reloading between skirmishes in shooters, and I keep getting caught in mid-load because of how long the damn thing takes. Good Lord.

Only reload when you run out of ammo then, much like your actually supposed to do. Should avoid that problem. :P

Focusing on Recon myself atm. I love the Barrett in single player far too much to not get it in MP.

Old habits die hard. :V

I might try Recon next. I enjoy being "that asshole sniper", but I'm not all that good at it, unfortunately.

I started playing.I love me my Engineer. Maybe I am biased because I am an Engineer. But I don't run around with silence weapons and rockets.... or magical impact wrenchs that heal tanks and dismantle enemy tanks.
